Virginia Tech Graduate Program at AAST
A new partnership between Virginia Tech and the Arab academy for Science and Technology, AAST, is in development to bring Virginia Tech Graduate Study Programs to Egypt and the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) Region. Students would have the opportunity to study towards the Virginia Tech Masters and Doctoral degrees at AAST facilities in Egypt. In this partnership, Virginia Tech will oversee the program academics while AAST will handle its local administration. The Virginia Tech curriculum and academic standards will be enforced to insure the same program quality and reputation that made the offered programs rank in the top 20 in the United States.

Graduate Study Program
? Typically all Master?s degree requirements can be completed at AAST
? Doctoral programs requires residency period at VT in USA
? Primarily, courses and feasible research at AAST
? Specialized courses and research at VT in USA

Admission Requirements
Virginia Tech?s admission requirement and standards will be enforced.
Minimum requirements are:
? Students with either B.Sc. or M.Sc. Degrees
? 3.2/4.0 GPA, (Grade Point Average) for master's Admission
? 3.5/4.0 GPA for Ph.D. Admission
? GRE required for Admission
? English Proficiency (TOFEL) required
? Exceptional B.Sc. Students may be considered for the direct Ph.D. Program
Scholarships
Scholarships may be available for outstanding applicants
